In order to secure a place on our Vocational Pathways to Adulthood Programme applicants need to have the support of their home local authority. Midstream will need to be stated as a progression destination on an individual’s Education, Health and Care Plan. Education, Health and Care Plans will usually be updated during reviews whilst the individual is at school.
If we can offer a place we will contact the applicant’s home local authority and submit an application asking it to commission a place for the learner.
Although we are able to receive applications at any time applicants should be aware that their home local authority will have their own timescales. If an applicant wishes to start our programme in the following September applications should be sent to Midstream by November at the latest. This will give us an opportunity to arrange Taster/Assessment days, visit the applicant in their current setting and contact their local authority.
