As part of our NOCN Pathways to Adulthood Study Programme learners develop their English and Maths skills. Teachers and Learning Support Assistants set challenging targets which learners develop and demonstrate in lessons, work experience, community engagement and independent living activities. Learner progress and achievement in English and Maths is externally moderated by the NOCN Awarding Body.
In addition, learners work towards City and Guilds Skills for Working Life qualifications at Entry Level 2 and 3. Many of these units in these qualifications, such as Managing Own Money, enable learners to develop their English and Maths as well as independent living and employability skills.
